Kindness Resources
I’ve written on the topic of kindness before, but I wanted to look for some recent examples to share. So…last night, I did a search on Bing (Bing is my default search engine because I use Microsoft Edge as my browser) and asked about recent examples of human kindness. This was the result. ☹️

This response (or lack thereof) sent me down a different rabbit hole on the Interwebs — find as many resources dedicated to human kindness as possible. While I’m sure I haven’t discovered them all, here are a few I stumbled across. They inspired me. Made me smile. Renewed my belief in humanity. Made me want to create a “Live. Laugh. Love.” sign. Ok, maybe not the last one. But it’s definitely reaffirming to see so much time, energy, and passion dedicated to kindness.
In no particular order:
OK2BX Foundation: This is actually a foundation run by a newsletter reader. It’s about being ok being extraordinary. Read about Eleanor’s story here. It’s incredibly powerful.
Random Acts of Kindness Foundation: This site is really cool and touches on all things kindness. My favorite section is the “Kindness Stories.”
Think Kindness: This is a resource for schools and communities to weave and integrate kindness into our everday lives. Read here about how it got started.
The Good News Network: It’s a collection of positive and uplifiting stories about humans doing great things to make the world a better place. I especially like the kindness posts.
Kind Spring: It’s all about small acts of kindness that can have a big impact. There are stories, ideas, a community, and smile cards (you’ll have to click the link to their site to learn what that is).
School of Kindness: This site is also dedicated to fostering kindness in schools. It has a bunch of teaching/classroom resources and workshops. Check them out here.
Kind Lab: This group focuses on the science and research behind kindess. They have something called KQ (Kindness Quotient). I’ll be taking the survey soon to see what my KQ is!
Please feel free to share with me other resources you know and love that are dedicated to kindness and making the world a better place.
Maybe I should create a kindess database at some point <wheels spinning — thinking emoji>.
Until next week.
